1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain copyright in their articles. Submission and publication in al-Kalim: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab dan Kebahasaaraban do not require authors to transfer ownership of copyright to the journal.

2. Right of First Publication

By publishing an article in al-Kalim, the author(s) grant the journal the non-exclusive right of first publication and the right to identify itself as the original publisher of the work.

3. Open-Access License

Unless otherwise stated, articles published in al-Kalim are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license permits users to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the published material for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s), a link to the license is provided, and any changes made to the original work are indicated.

4. Author Rights After Publication

Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive arrangements for the distribution of the published version of their work, including:

• depositing the published article in an institutional or subject repository;
• including the article in a thesis, dissertation, book, or other scholarly work;
• sharing the article for teaching, research, and academic purposes; and
• making the article available on a personal or institutional website.

Such reuse should acknowledge that the article was first published in al-Kalim and should include the article DOI or permanent journal link whenever available.

5. Author Responsibilities

By submitting a manuscript, the author(s) confirm that:

• the manuscript is an original work and does not unlawfully infringe the copyright or other rights of any third party;
• all copyrighted material reproduced from other sources has been properly cited and, where required, used with permission;
• all co-authors have approved the submitted and published versions of the manuscript; and
• the author(s) have the authority to grant the journal the publication rights described in this notice.

Images, figures, tables, datasets, quotations, or other third-party materials included in an article may be subject to separate copyright terms. Unless such material is clearly identified as being included under the article's Creative Commons license, users must obtain any permission required for reuse directly from the relevant copyright holder.

Any reuse or redistribution of material published under CC BY 4.0 must provide appropriate attribution to the author(s) and the original publication in al-Kalim: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab dan Kebahasaaraban.
