Al-Kalim: Journal of Arabic Education and Arabic Linguistic Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal devoted to the field of Arabic language education and Arabic linguistic scholarship. It serves as a scientific forum for the dissemination of original research, theoretical studies, and current issues related to the teaching, learning, development, and study of the Arabic language. The journal is published twice a year, in April and October, and has been in publication since 2022. Initially released in print, it has been managed through the Open Journal System (OJS) since 2023 to broaden accessibility and strengthen the quality of scholarly publishing.

The journal is published by Daarul Qimmah: Center for Language Training and Research, Yayasan Daarul Qimmah Gorontalo. As part of its commitment to academic quality, Al-Kalim welcomes contributions from scholars, researchers, educators, and practitioners of Arabic language education from Indonesia and abroad. Every submitted manuscript undergoes editorial screening and expert peer review before it can be accepted for publication, ensuring that all published articles meet academic standards of originality, relevance, and scholarly contribution.

Al-Kalim has been officially accredited at SINTA 4 based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Number 286/DST/C3/HM.01.00/2026, dated 7 April 2026, concerning the notification of new journal accreditation results for Period 2 of 2025. According to the attached accreditation record, this status is valid from Volume 2 Number 1 of 2023 until Volume 6 Number 2 of 2027. The responsibility for the content of each published article remains entirely with the respective author.
