This issue of Al-Kalim presents five insightful articles that delve into the fields of Arabic language education and linguistic studies from various analytical perspectives. The first article explores the implementation of the role-playing method to enhance Arabic speaking skills, highlighting student engagement and perceptions in the learning process. The second article offers a feminist literary critique of The Girls of Riyadh by Rajaa Al-Sanea, examining female representation within the cultural framework of Arab society.

The third article investigates the diction found in Zikr Ratibul Haddad, focusing on the phrase Astaghfillaaha Rabbal Barayaa, Astaghfirullaha Minal Khathayaa, to uncover the linguistic and spiritual depth embedded in religious texts. The fourth article evaluates the effectiveness of the imla’ (dictation) method in improving writing skills (maharah kitabah) among seventh-grade students at MTS Masyariqul Anwar Caringin. Finally, the fifth article analyzes illocutionary speech acts in the translation of Surah Luqman from the Qur’an, offering a pragmatic perspective on how meaning is conveyed across languages.
