This edition of Al-Kalim features six scholarly articles that explore innovative methods and media in teaching Arabic language and literacy. The first article investigates the use of the Jigsaw method to enhance reading (maharah qira’ah) skills among senior high school students, emphasizing collaborative learning. The second examines how “Taboo Games” can increase student interest in learning Arabic, highlighting the motivational aspect of interactive activities in the classroom.

The third article evaluates the effectiveness of Pop-Up Book media in improving vocabulary mastery among elementary students, showing the value of visual and tactile learning tools. In a similar vein, the fourth article discusses the development of Canva-based interactive media for teaching mufrodat (vocabulary), demonstrating how digital resources can enrich language instruction.

The fifth article applies the PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) method to enhance reading skills at the junior high school level, offering a structured approach to comprehension. Finally, the sixth article analyzes the impact of prediction guides on students’ test outcomes in an Islamic middle school in Gorontalo, linking strategic reading with academic performance.

Collectively, the articles in this issue contribute to the growing discourse on effective and creative approaches in Arabic language pedagogy, with implications for both theory and classroom practice.
